Our students love us

On 11/29/25, I attended a Hurricane Awareness & Preparedness Seminar hosted by Eloyon House of Bread Ministries. The individuals scheduled to speak presented the information in a clear and topic specific manner. Demonstrations were also made on the importance of wearing the proper gear for particular disasters. The topic that impacted me most was on the importance on being prepared at all times for such emergency incidents such as how to ensure you have a backpack prepared with important documents, currency (small bills), medication, water, non perishable food items, and much more.
The participants and I were engaged in the seminar with Q&As, role playing, and materials provided. We were also provided snacks and beverages as well as giveaways. I would recommend this seminar to every county in the State of Florida. In particular, I think our elderly population should be educated on what to do and not do in the event they are faced with emergencies that are out of their control.
